My system runs slowly

Some old systems (V1, V2) can run a bit slower with time and use.

Here are two actions you can perform on your system in order to make the system run faster:

Defragmentation of the D: drive

System running on Windows 7:

  1. Go in the admin account
  2. On the Windows search bar, write ‘’defrag’’
  3. Select ‘’Auslogics Disk Defrag’’
  4. Select the D: drive ‘’DATA’’ (and not the C: drive)
  5. Select ‘’Defrag & Optimize’’

System running on Windows 10:

  1. Go in the admin account (password: Koelis2006)
  2. On the Windows search bar, write ‘’defrag’’
  3. Select ‘’Defragment and Optimize Drives’’
  4. Select the D: drive ‘’DATA’’ (and not the C: drive)
  5. Select ‘’Optimize’’

Backup of the patient database

⚠️With the user’s consent⚠️ you can also perform a backup of the patient database on a hard disk drive, then delete the patient database from the Trinity.

This action will increase the speed of the system when Promap is launching (but not during the procedures).

  1. On the maintenance account, perform the backup of the patient database (you can refer to the user manual on how to do it)
  2. Then, to do only once the backup has been performed, go in the admin account (password: Koelis2006)
  3. Go to D:\KOELIS\PROMAP\2602
  4. Look at the number of folders inside the folder 2602 and compare it to the number of folders on the external drive. You can also compare the size of the two databases (right click on the folder > Properties > Size). If the number of the files or the sizes are different, please contact the Koelis Service team.
  5. Delete the content of the folder 2602 (but not the folder itself, only the content)
  6. Go to D:\KOELIS\PROMAP and delete the file ‘’patientmanager.dat’’.
